When using Bit-Encoded-Notation, quantities like C4 means bit 4 from data byte C. If service 02 PID 02 returns zero, then there is no snapshot and all other service 02 data is meaningless. The exceptions are PID 01, which is only available in service 01, and PID 02, which is only available in service 02. #GM EXTENDED PID LIST DOWNLOAD CODE#Note that services 01 and 02 are basically identical, except that service 01 provides current information, whereas service 02 provides a snapshot of the same data taken at the point when the last diagnostic trouble code was set. Again, not all vehicles will support all PIDs and there can be manufacturer-defined custom PIDs that are not defined in the OBD-II standard. #GM EXTENDED PID LIST DOWNLOAD HOW TO#The expected response for each PID is given, along with information on how to translate the response into meaningful data. ![]() The table below shows the standard OBD-II PIDs as defined by SAE J1979. The nonOBD UDS services start at 0x10 to avoid overlap of ID-range. the voltage of the traction battery in a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV). Each manufacturer may define additional services above #9 (e.g.: service 22 as defined by SAE J2190 for Ford/GM, service 21 for Toyota) for other information e.g. Vehicle manufacturers are not required to support all services. Permanent Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) (Cleared DTCs) Show pending Diagnostic Trouble Codes (detected during current or last driving cycle)Ĭontrol operation of on-board component/system Test results, other component/system monitoring (Test results, oxygen sensor monitoring for CAN only) Test results, oxygen sensor monitoring (non CAN only) They are as follows: Mode (hex)Ĭlear Diagnostic Trouble Codes and stored values Before 2002, J1979 referred to these services as "modes". There are 10 diagnostic services described in the latest OBD-II standard SAE J1979. Some heavy duty trucks in North America use the SAE J1962 OBD-II diagnostic connector that is common with passenger cars, notably Mack and Volvo Trucks, however they use 29 bit CAN identifiers (unlike 11 bit headers used by passenger cars). ![]() Heavy duty vehicles (greater than 14,000 lb ) made after 2010, for sale in the US are allowed to support OBD-II diagnostics through SAE standard J1939-13 (a round diagnostic connector) according to CARB in title. They are both required to be accessed through a standardized data link connector defined by SAE J1962. In 1996, light duty vehicles (less than 8,500 lb ) were the first to be mandated followed by medium duty vehicles (between 8,500–14,000 lb ) in 2005. Though not mandated, many motorcycles also support OBD-II PIDs. Manufacturers also define additional PIDs specific to their vehicles. All on-road vehicles and trucks sold in North America are required to support a subset of these codes, primarily for state mandated emissions inspections. SAE standard J1979 defines many OBD-II PIDs. #GM EXTENDED PID LIST DOWNLOAD LICENSE KEY#We cannot be held responsible if you do not receive your license key because your spam filter blocked it.OBD-II PIDs ( On-board diagnostics Parameter IDs) are codes used to request data from a vehicle, used as a diagnostic tool. Please make sure your spam filters are set up to allow e-mail from our online store. The license key will be sent to your email after your payment is processed. #GM EXTENDED PID LIST DOWNLOAD SOFTWARE#The software can be downloaded from our website. Note: In order to avoid charging you for shipping, the license key will be sent to the email address you provide when you sign up for a customer account. Using our ScanXL™ diagnostic scan tool, you now have access to dealer-level diagnostic capabilities for not only the powertrain systems, but also ABS, airbag, hybrid, and other proprietary systems that would otherwise require expensive dealer tools to work with. With generic only OBD-II scan tools you often cannot service some vehicle systems like ABS, airbag, hybrid, or other proprietary systems. If you are the owner of an independent service or repair facility then you know that good tools can mean the difference between being able to find and fix the problem, or having to send the customer elsewhere. Click here to see a list of all the parameters available in the GM Enhanced Diagnostics Add-on. In addition to giving you the ability to read and clear codes on powertrain, ABS, airbag, hybrid, transmission and other proprietary systems, it also adds thousands of new parameters and sensors for both gasoline and diesel vehicles. The GM enhanced diagnostics add-on supports all Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Pontiac, & Saturn vehicles from 1996 - 2009. ![]()
